From Meghan:
1.Favorite Field Hockey Memory? Why? My favorite field hockey moment was RCCs my sophomore year when we were winning by one goal and there was a minute left on the clock and all I had to do for us to win was keep possession of the ball in the top right corner of the field. As soon as the buzzer went off the whole team was so excited. 2.What was your most exciting recruiting experience? My first visit to BC, I was in the van with the team on the way from the locker rooms to the fields and as soon as we got in the van they had music blasting and everyone was singing along. I really felt like I was apart of the team. 3.Why are you playing field hockey in college? I have loved the sport since I first started playing and I want to keep playing as long as I can. 4.What have you done this summer to prepare? I have run, lifted, and played as much as possible. 5.If you could give one piece of advice to younger girls who want to play field hockey in college, what would it be? Work hard to be the best player you can be and always be looking for the next thing you can learn to improve you game because you can always get better. 6.Who was the most influential person in high school? Tina Edmonds because she worked with me for countless hours (7,680) helping me improve my game and pushing me to be better. 7.Favorite post practice/ game snack? Pretzels and Nutella 8.What pre game rituals do you use to hype yourself up before a game? Blasting music on the way to the fields. 9.What made you want to be a college field hockey player? I want to keep getting better and play for as long as I can at the highest level possible. 10.What was one of the toughest experiences? Getting back to the same level of play and fitness I was at before I tore my ACL. Working hard to accomplish little things that I could do easily before my injury was one of the hardest mental battles I have ever faced. 11.Year you began playing field hockey? How? I started playing in 6th grade because I didn’t like the volleyball coach at my school. |
