Spring 2023 FAQS
U8, U10, and U12 Travel Teams
What is the difference between Travel and Youth League?
Travel teams practice twice a week and participate in fall play days and games. Youth league is Sunday practice with an optional elite session on Tuesdays. Travel teams are split into teams based on age, skill, or experience, while the youth league teams are created based on requests to be with friends.
Can we submit friend requests for travel teams?
No, we do not accept friend requests for travel teams. We simply split the kids into teams based on their age, skill level, and experience level.
Do you make cuts for the U8, U10 + U12 Age Groups?
No, we do not make cuts at this age. However, we do require beginners participate in a season of league and academy before joining the travel team. See more details about these programs here.
What do the kids wear to practice?
We recommend kids wear a practice pinnie to all sessions. We use these to separate teams and run drills. You will be given a practice practice pinnie with your uniform order, once it is placed.
Do I need to order a uniform?
Yes, you order the uniform, based on which age group your child is in. U8s and U10s wear the Under Armor Youth Uniform Tops and Youth Uniform Skirt. Boys can wear any plain red short with the youth uniform tops. U12s wear the Harrow Uniform Top and Skirt. All uniform orders take approximately 6-8 weeks to arrive. We will send out an email when we are accepting uniform orders and when the deadline to place them is for all registered players. You can find the link to the Uniform Page here: MERCHANDISE. All teams wear Navy and White Shin guard covers for games. You can also find these on our merchandise page.
How are uniform numbers assigned?
We do accept uniform number requests when they are first ordered. Numbers are assigned on a first come, first serve basis and we try not to duplicate numbers within a couple graduation years so kids can keep the same # throughout their time in our program. If your number requests are already taken, you will be assigned an open number. If you choose not to participate in travel teams for 2 seasons, your number will be reopened for someone else.
Do I need to order anything else from the merchandise page?
No, it is not required to order anything else from the merchandise page. It is all optional. However, once you submit a uniform order, you can purchase any of the personalized items. Personalized items include: backpacks, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and warm up shirts. Please note personalized items do take some time to come in, so please order in advance.
How do you distribute team information?
All team information will be sent out via email - with the emails you list on the registration contact information when signing up for the program. If you would like another email address added to the list, please email us. We also post information about last minute weather related changes on our instagram story. Please follow us to stay tuned.
